Table of Contents in MapIT

Using the table of contents

• To open and close the table of contents (TOC) click on the arrow in the upper right side of the TOC console.
• When the TOC is open it will show all of the layers in the MapIT theme being used.
• The box next to the layer name determines if the layer is visible on the map if it is checked the layer is visible, if the box is unchecked the layer is not visible.
• The user has the ability to manually turn on and off many of the layers by clicking or unclicking the box next to the layer name, but some of thelayers are scale dependent and can only be turned on and off when the map is zoomed into a particular scale range.
• The plus and minus box next to the layer name allows the user to expand layer to show the symbology of the layer.
